Active Recovery Day πΆβοΈπ¨
Tonight’s Dungeon ‘workout’ was all about active recovery—keeping things light, steady, and intentional. Movement and consistency are key, and tonight’s focus was on allowing the body to recover while staying active.
The Breakdown:
Active Recovery Walk β°οΈ
-
Pace: 3 mph
-
Incline: Varying between 0-6%
-
Heart Rate: Maintained mostly in the moderate zone β€οΈπ₯
Why Active Recovery?
Some days, pushing hard isn’t the goal—instead, showing up and moving is what matters! Active recovery is an essential part of any fitness journey, helping to: β Reduce muscle soreness β Improve circulation β Enhance mobility and flexibility β Maintain consistency without overtraining
Incline walking is one of the best ways to keep the heart rate up while minimizing joint impact and allowing muscles to recover. It’s also a great way to prep for future endurance workouts!
Post-Walk Reflection:
Feeling refreshed, not drained after this session. It’s a reminder that recovery is just as important as intense workouts when it comes to long-term progress and sustainability.
