HEALTHY EATING SHOULD NOT BE A LUXURY. 🛒🌅

becky Sep 25, 2026

The wellness industry has convinced too many people that supporting their health requires:

🥩 Grass-fed, grass-finished meat
🥚 Pasture-raised eggs
🥬 Everything organic
🐟 Wild-caught fish
🥛 Specialty dairy
💊 Expensive supplements
💧 Boutique water
🥤 Powders, potions, and functional drinks

These may be wonderful options when they fit your budget but the most expensive choice is not automatically the “best” choice.

I prefer a GOOD, BETTER, BEST approach:

GOOD: It is affordable, accessible, tolerated, and nourishing.

BETTER: You upgrade the quality, ingredients, sourcing, or convenience when it makes sense.

BEST: It supports your body without destabilizing your finances, increasing stress, or becoming impossible to maintain.

Sometimes “best” is pasture-raised eggs from a local farm.

Sometimes it is conventional eggs from Aldi because they help you get enough protein.

Sometimes it is fresh, organic produce.

Sometimes it is frozen vegetables because they are affordable, convenient, and won’t spoil before you can eat them.

Sometimes it is a beautifully prepared meal.

Sometimes it is rotisserie chicken, microwave rice, and a bag of frozen vegetables because that is what you have the capacity to make.

It ALL counts.

And we can support how the body uses that food without buying something more expensive:
🌅 Get outdoor morning light
🍳 Build meals around adequate protein
☀️ Eat more of your nutrition during daylight hours
🚶 Take a short walk after eating
🌙 Reduce habitual late-night eating
😴 Protect your sleep and nighttime darkness

Circadian alignment and chrononutrition should not become another luxury wellness category. Many of the most powerful foundational signals are FREE.

Natural light is free.
Darkness is free.
Walking is free.
Consistent meal timing is free.

Food quality matters but nourishment comes before optimization.

A conventional egg is still nourishing.
A basic potato is still a valuable carbohydrate.
Frozen vegetables still provide nutrients.
Convenience can be a legitimate form of support.

Do the best you can with what you have.
I wasn't always perfect & have seen results
You can too
